On the pressure of playing at home: Yusuf Pathan
What pressure? You (media) guys are only saying that we have a great team, we are playing well and everyone is praising us.
So, what kind of pressure are you talking about? It's good that so many people are backing us.
On how winning the World Cup will be an ideal gift for Sachin Tendulkar:
This guy has given us joy over the years. It is our mission to lift the Cup for paaji. We have a very capable team and I am confident that we will present him a memorable World Cup... insha allah!
On being viewed as a game changer:
All thanks to Allah. Of course, I worked hard on my batting during the domestic season and things started falling in place after the hundred against Haryana in the Ranji Trophy.
On proving his critics wrong by handling the short stuff well:
Cricket is played between bat and ball and not between big reputations. Whoever it is fastest bowlers or shrewdest spinners they have to bowl and one has to face them.
On hopeless situations bringing out the best in him:
We have a very formidable batting line-up and if proven performers have a rare off-day, it is my duty to take responsibility and win the match.
On his Cup preparation:
I am visualising match situations and just working out a few things in the nets which I have discussed with our team's support staff.
On how he manages to hit those lusty blows with shoulders that are not boxer-like:
Even I am wondering how I can play those shots. Jo dikhta hai woh hota nahi, aur jo hota hai, woh dikhta nahi!
