Arjun Tendulkar shows glimpses of his father's style in a school-level cricket match in Mumbai. He scored an unbeaten 45 & also took four wickets to guide his team to victory in a T20 match.





Arjun’s displayed powerful performance while playing for his school Dhirubhai Ambani International School against Chaturbhuj Narsing Memorial School in a district sports tournament.



Junior Tendulkar first made headlines in January when he made his cricketing debut at the U-13 level. He played in the Cadency Trophy from MIGC Club in Pune.



While at school, Sachin Tendulkar himself had developed a reputation as a child prodigy. He had become a common conversation point in Mumbai circles, where there were suggestions already that he would become one of the greats. His season in 1988 was extraordinary, with Tendulkar scoring a century in every innings he played.



At the tender age of 13, Tendulkar captained his school team to victory in the Giles Shield (for Under-15s). He scored three centuries - 158*, 156 and 197 - and then in the Harris Shield scored 276, 123 and 150. He scored nine hundreds, including two double hundreds, a total of 2336 runs.



Tendulkar also proved his mettle by scoring four consecutive centuries in Harris Shield with scores of 21*, 125, 207*, 329* and 346*. These scores came after a brilliant unbeaten 178 in the Giles Shield. In that season, he had scored 1028 runs in five innings.



His record-breaking partnership of 664 runs with childhood friend Vinod Kambli where he scored unbeaten 329 runs is much-talked about school cricket partnership in India even today.
