The day belongs to Sachin Tendulkar.


Today the day belongs to Only a man blessed with immense powers which he could sustain for 20-year Test career and Sachin Tendulkar displayed exactly that quality on a day of Indian dominance in Bangalore. India is looking in good position after Sachin Tendulkar smashed a 49th Test century and Murali Vijay his first as India stongly replied aussies in the second and final Test on Monday.

India were replying to Australia's 1st innings total of 478, finished the day with 435/5.dhoni: 11* and sachin : 191*. India was in trouble (38/2) when sachin came to bat on the second day,But he and murli vijay negosiate the 2nd day without loosing any further wickets and at 28 runs sachin completed 14000runs.

On the 3rd day Sachin and Murly Vijay put 308-run partnership for the third wicket which is the second highest against Australia.sachin was in positive frame of mind and played with fluency sachin’s inning was chanceless. Sachin gave Vijay pep-talks through the day and encourge him to perfome batter.Vijay also played good inning &scored his maiden 100.Aussie were not able to take a breakthrough till allmost 66 overs of the day but When they did, they quickly made it two. Vijay's edge behind off Mitchell Johnson was followed four balls later by the departure of the unlucky debutant Cheteshwar Pujara, who was padded up for more than six hours only to be greeted with skidder from Johnson, who trapped the new man lbw for 4.

Raina too fell late in the day, but one man: Sachin Tendulkar never flinched and looks set to make his 6th double ton tomorrow. A real fantastic partnership of 308 between Vijay and Sachin was the highlight of the day. India hold a slight edge going into day 4 as the ball is keeping low.

Tomorrow should be another cracker of a day. The match is there for the taking for both sides and it should be interesting to see who grabs the initiative early on.

  • No wicket fell in the first session on the first three days of the Test. The most runs scored in the first session were 99 on the second day when Australia moved from 285 to 384.
  • The 308-run partnership for the third wicket between M Vijay and Tendulkar is the second highest against Australia.
  • During his innings, Tendulkar went past 150 for the 20th time in Tests surpassing Brian Lara's record of 19 150-plus scores. It was also his sixth score of 150 plus against Australia, going past Wally Hammond and Lara who have five each.
