World Cup's my dream since I was 10: Sachin Tendulkar.

Mumbai: The only thing that India's master blaster batsman Sachin Tendulkar hasn't achieved as yet is the World Cup trophy that's been his dream since he was 10 years old.

Yes, the little master has been dreaming for the glittering trophy since he was 10. The revealance has been made by the legendary batsman in an advertisement that says, "I wish I could win the world cup trophy ever since I was a 10 years old child. (Cup Ghar Ayega...) The World Cup will come to India."
World Cup 2011, Sachin Tendulkar, Sachin's Life, Kapil DevWorld's greatest batsman was quoted as saying in an advertisement before the World Cup is about to start. The 1983 World Cup victory under the captaincy of legendary Kapil Dev were the moments that India has cherished for a long time and now he (Sachin) wants to overcome this.

India's strength is their batting, and Tendulkar's the key. Master of the willow and his bowling, too, is capable of twisting the game on his own anytime like man times before.

"In 1987 and 1996 when the subcontinent hosted the event, India could not make the semi-final, losing in the penultimate match but this time we are surely going to win the World Cup," said Sachin.

For this time around, India looks well prepared under South African coach Gary Kirsten, who has escorted them to the top of the Test rankings. But can they continue their good form into the World Cup? Is the big question that will be answered as the great event progresses.

Though the middle order has caused some concern as it failed to deliver in the ODIs in South Africa, skipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni is confident that his team will peak by the time the first ball of the World Cup is bowled.

The bowlers are in good form and the skills of Zaheer and Harbahajan could be the key to support Sachin's dream. Zaheer, Harbahajan and Ashish Nehra were part of the team that made the 2003 final, and the team will rely heavily on the trio this time as well.
