Sachin Tendulkar will soon have a address in Gujarat

Master Blaster Sachin Tendulkar will soon have a residential address in Gujarat as he has booked a plot of land in a upcoming township in Bavla taluka of this district.

The plot is located in a residential township planned around the 700 acre Kensville Golf and Country Club in Bavla, 40km from here.

Director of Savvy Infrastructure, which owns Kensville Golf and Country Club, Jaxay Shah confirmed the development but declined to divulge details of Sachin's investment.

"This was part of a long term relationship with him (Tendulkar)," Shah said, refusing to comment further.

The Kensville Golf Club is the only functional 18-hole golf course in the state which had a integrated township planned around it.

The Golf course has already been endorsed by renowned golfer Jeev Milkha Singh who had visited it last year.

Tendulkar is in the city to play the first Test match of the tri-series against New Zealand which begins here from November 4.

The legendary batsman, who is one short of his 50th century in Test cricket, is expected to create a new record for himself during this match.
