I can't wait to be out there with Sachin.:Jacobs

It was a dream come true for Davey Jacobs when he got a call from the Mumbai Indians. The Warriors' skipper had already seen himself opening with Sachin Tendulkar when the IPL started three years back. "I was expecting a call from a franchise after the Champions League, but that it came from the Mumbai Indians left me surprised," said Jacobs.

Now he can't wait for the IPL to start. "I can't wait to be out there with Sachin. Hopefully, we will be able to give some big and brisk starts," he said. The right-handed opener, who impressed with his aggressive and fluent strokeplay during the Champions League, sounded happy about getting a chance to play alongside Tendulkar than landing an IPL contract.

"It will be a great learning experience. I am looking forward to learn what he thinks about the game and how he prepares himself. I am going to come back as an improved cricketer," said Jacobs.

The South African, who has been turning out good performances at the domestic circuit but hasn't succeeded in breaking into the national squad, felt a good stint in the IPL could kick-start his international career.

Jacobs will keep wickets for his franchise and he's ready for the twin role. "It's an honour to be picked as one of the wicketkeepers from around the world for just 10 available slots, he said.
